I had a media noche sandwich and cafe con leche. I must've been really hungry because that sandwich was good! The coffee was too dark for my liking, but I drank it. I went back to the Pembroke Pines location and the coffee was perfect but the sandwich a bit messy. I got a pastelito de queso and it was yummy, not too sweet and just warm. Goes to show, same restaurant different different taste. I will say the service in both locations was very pleasant.

What a find! Home style food and very reasonable prices. Extensive menu options, daily specials. I had the Friday seafood soup large for under $10 rich broth not salty. Roast pork was not dry very flavorful not fatty. Chicken saltenado really good. Yuca well done. Highly rated

La Carreta is an excepcional diner place. However,.this Miramar Branch, is still.good but you may not find the high dining standards you may find in another. For example, when I visited there was no chicken dishes, or some specials shown at the entrance were not available...

Our first time at La Carreta. We ordered Ropa Vieja with Moro Rice and sweet plantains plus some Lechón Roasted Pork. The Food and Service were great so definitely recommend. Don't miss out on the Yuca Frita (Cassava) Appetizer!

I have been here once before. This time I took my family after a Miami Dolphin's win! My wife and daughter loved it. My daughter's boyfriend cleaned his plate and our server was very very friendly despite being so busy.

Last night, Saturday, January 3rd, my husband and I went to our favorite restaurant, La Carreta in Miramar. We like the atmosphere, the food, and above all, we have always received excellent service there, until last night. From the moment my husband and I walked in, they seated us at a table I didn't like, and when I mentioned it, the hostess refused to move us to a different table; she simply left us there, ignoring me.Then, the waitress, completely lacking in professional ethics, was not courteous and didn't even introduce herself. When ordering the drinks, I requested extra lemon or lime, and after insisting several times, she finally brought it to me.After ordering our meal, which was excellent as always, we decided to order dessert. I asked the waitress what desserts they had, and she told me to look at the menu, as they were all listed there. In conclusion, we will continue to be regular customers of the restaurant, as we enjoy it, but from now on we will request where we want to sit and who we want to serve us.

La Carreta, a beloved Miami staple since 1976, delicious Cuban cuisine across its many locations. Designed to resemble a charming Spanish-style home on the outside, the cozy interior feels like you’re dining in a welcoming family dining room—warm, inviting, and staff was very kind. I hadn’t been in years, but we stopped by for breakfast and loved every bite! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we were hoping for. Can’t wait to come back soon to try their lunch menu!

My rating is based on the food and coffee available at the take out window. The baked pastries and fried foods are delicious and I consider them absolutely authentic. And don't forget the Cuban coffee, very rich and sweet. I am not a fan of the indoor part of the restaurant.
